Sixth Form

New for 2026/27

We are delighted to introduce our new Gateways Sixth Form offer, launching for the 2026/27 academic year.

Students will have the opportunity to select up to two courses from the following options:

Each course is designed to provide practical skills, industry knowledge, and a strong foundation for further study or employment. Upon successful completion, students will be awarded UCAS points that can be used to support applications for further education.

Enrolled students will also have the opportunity to select a Maccabi course in Sports Leadership which can lead to a Level 3 qualification:

In addition to the courses, the Gateways Sixth Form offer includes:

  • Careers coaching to help students navigate their future pathways
  • Work experience opportunities
  • Enrichment activities including trips
  • Life skills sessions to help students develop essential soft skills
  • Dedicated gym sessions
  • SEN support from the SENCo and support within lessons

Fees 
£8,500 per year, per course. Each course comes with enrichment activities, supported study sessions, pastoral support, careers guidance, and a linked work experience opportunity.

Funding Options
Fees can be paid privately or possibly with assistance from your local authority if you have an EHCP. They may also be paid via a combination of EHCP and private funding. A hardship fund towards the cost of a % of the fees is also available for families requiring financial support.

Admissions Criteria

  • Meet our usual admissions criteria with professional evidence of an SEMH need
  • Students will have ideally obtained a grade 4 pass or above in GCSE Maths and English or Functional Skills Level 2 pass in Maths and English
  • With guidance and support, students are committed to work during the independent study sessions on given tasks and complete coursework and assignments in an agreed timeframe
  • To be able to interact appropriately and in a positive manner within the group setting
  • Demonstrate an ability to participate as part of the Sixth Form group and be committed to represent the Gateways Sixth Form in the wider community when attending trips, events and work experience opportunities
